Joe action figures. Not only is the animation of the characters impressive, but also the set design. It hasn’t been long since I last saw “The Thing”, and some of these set pieces are dead on. The music’s another high point… creepy and building, a perfect complement to the subject matter. I like.

A few weeks back I went home to Michigan for the weekend, and it just so happens that the National Asparagus Festival was taking place. Of course I had to check it out. In addition to the longest parade I’ve ever experienced, another highlight was the delicious beer-battered deep-fried asparagus. There was also an asparagus-themed film festival on Friday night that I missed, but I visited the website for Asparagus: The Movie, and I’ll most definitely be watching it as soon as I have the chance.
